Modern bakery by day, natural wine bar by night, The Baker & The Bottleman officially opens its door at Lee Tung Avenue, Wan Chai pursuing Chef Simon Rogan’s farm-to-table movement.
Spanning across two storeys, the double concepts – as it is aptly named, serves sustainably-crafted pastries, cakes and coffee to go led by Executive Chef Oli Marlow on the ground level and soon welcoming a singular selection of organic, biodynamic wine accompanied by selected snacks curated by Master Sommelier Pierre Brunelli on the top level. “We aim to serve natural ingredients within a fun and modern space that caters perfectly to the metropolitan lifestyle – for the forward-thinkers who are ready to set an example and make a change,” Chef Simon Rogan states.
It is the big picture of the all-star team to have discerning guests “come for the sweets, stay for the vines.” Highlights from The Bakers includes Roganic’s cult favourite Irish Soda Bread Loaf, classic British Breakfast Muffin, Scotch Egg with Pickled Walnut Sauce for savoury, and many more – all freshly-baked twice daily with British heritage artisanal pastry-making techniques and flavours, amplified by a Simon Rogan twist. Try their latest limited-time combo, Buttermilk Chicken Burger with beverage only until 15 January catering for the latest restrictions.
